In order to nurture the development of the newly hired staff, they are on boarded through a carefully orchestrated long duration programme including blended learning and departmental rotations, which not only acquaints them with the bank’s procedures and procedures, but also gives them an opportunity to hone their skills.
HBL has developed its own certification programmes for the branch staff, the ‘ASPIRE’ series. All Branch Managers, Operation Managers, Relationship Managers and Cash Officers are required to undergo an extensive, training, enabling them to give a stellar performance in each area of their job.

HBL also maintains strong, progressive links with the industry by organizing trainings that benefit the banking industry at large. Some initiatives include the training programmes conducted for the State Bank Officers, First Women Bank, and National Financial Literacy Programme (NFLP), a joint project with SBP, HBL and several other financial institutions with the aim of enhancing financial literacy.
